Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin will be published by Reel Art Press on 9nd October 2018 – 50 years to the month since the band changed their name from The New Yardbirds to Led Zeppelin.

Masters and monographs: An encyclopedia of 20th century photographers and their finest publications
At age fourteen, Stephen Shore had his work purchased by Edward Steichen for the Museum of Modern Art, New York. At seventeen, Shore was a regular at Andy Warhol’s Factory, producing an important photographic document of the scene, and in 1971, at the age of twenty-three, he became the first living photographer since Alfred Stieglitz forty years earlier to have a solo show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He has had numerous one-man shows, including those at the Museum of Modern Art, New York; George Eastman House, Rochester; Kunsthalle Düsseldorf; Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; Jeu de Paume, Paris; and Art Institute of Chicago. He has received two NEA grants and a Guggenheim Foundation grant. Since 1982 he has been director of the photography program at Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, where he is the Susan Weber Professor in the Arts.

Photographer Chris Floyd was embedded with the band during their meteoric rise from late 1996 to 1997. He documented the recording, touring and promoting of the album in Britain, Ireland and the US―the only photographer to have such access.
The book is also a celebration of what it meant to be young in the last moments of societal unself-awareness, before the explosion of the internet and social media, and it includes a section dedicated to people’s memories of 1997.
Preparing his movie Paris, Texas in late 1983, German filmmaker Wim Wenders travelled the West equipped with a 6×7 medium format camera in search of subjects and locations that would bring this desolate landscape to life.
